In Memory
ZULA
August 1999 - October 2007
Zula was our friend and companion and held a special place in all our hearts.
She will be missed but will always be in our memories, we have a lot of very happy ones with Zula.
MASKA
February 2006 - July 2008
It is with great sadness that we lost Maska to torsion, despite the greatest efforts by our vets he did not make it and
passed away peacefully at home with all his family.
Although we feel robbed that he has been taken from us so early, we also know that we were lucky to have shared
his short life as it was full of love, fun and happy memories.
BINX
November 2010
Although Binx was obviously a cat not a German Shepherd he was still very much part of our family & therefore
deserves his place here.
We only had him for a relatively short period but he certainly made himself at home and fixed a place in everyone's
hearts. Unfortunately he suffered from different illnesses from early on despite lots of different treatments and
remedies he suffered liver failure. He is definitely missed by all of us.
BEAR
March 2004 - February 2011
What can I say that could possibly express the way we feel about losing our boy. Bear was everything I ever wanted
in a German Shepherd & has left a huge hole which will never be filled. He was our friend, protector & companion &
will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts.
TIM
May 1984 - July 2012
Tim was a big part of our family. He was Katrinas first pony & frequently used to introduce our puppies to equestrian
delights as he was so tolerant and gentle with them. Although he was getting older it was still a shock & a sad loss
for us all he will be greatly missed but we know he will be running free in rainbow bridge.
CLEOPATRA
February 2011- October 2012
Cleo was tragically taken from us far too soon. She will always be in our thoughts & memories.
NUKA
September 2001- October 2012
Nuka was everything I could of asked for & more. She gave her love & attention unconditionally from the time we
brought her home right up to the very last second. No other dog could ever fill the huge hole she has left behind
that spot will always remain special to Nuka. Her huge loving heart that she gave so willingly to her family was
unfortunately her undoing & she passed away peacefully surrounded by the family she loved & who loved her.
We were privileged to have shared her life she certainly had a big impact on ours.
EINSTEIN
July 2012- November 2013
Unfortunately Einstein suffered with ill health with his liver & kidneys & veterinary treatment was no longer an
option to keep him well & give him a good quality of life.
We like to think he has had a lovely life although short & received lots of love & attention not only from us but
also our visitors.
He is missed by us & the dogs who he often cuddled up to & used as pillows.
ZEEKER
August 2004 - November 2013
Zeeker was our diva she was beautiful in every single way. She showed her intellect & zest for life right from the
start & always kept us on our toes for what she might do next.
I can not put into words how much we loved and now miss her nothing comes close, she was one of a kind who
could never be replaced.
MABUZA
June 2007 - August 2014
After a short illness Mabuza was diagnosed with a ruptured spleen. He was too ill to undergo surgery so we made
the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. He never gave us any signs he was ill until it was too late. It is a
condition GSD's are predisposed to but is not hereditary. I can not describe how my heart is breaking or how angry
I am that my beautiful man was taken away so young he meant the world to us and it just seems so empty without
him. He produced us some beautiful babies and he lives on in each and every one of them in some way. He was
loved by everyone who met him and was a huge gentle giant even to the smallest of humans or animals he didnt
have an aggressive bone in his body. Goodbye my handsome man.
NACOMA
Oct 2006 - Sept 2014
We had to make the heart breaking decision to put Nacoma to sleep. We had to weigh up what was best for her. She
had been through 2 bloat attacks which she had to be put out and tubes put down into her stomach to relieve the
build up of gas and major surgery to attach the stomach to the wall of her body to stop it twisting. Since then she
had slowly had her food built up from one spoon every hour to 4 spoons every 4 hours but was not getting enough
food for her size so constantly hungry, so much so we had to take all her toys off her otherwise she would eat them,
she was not allowed any exercise and still suffered bloat for a 3rd time. She was in pain and distressed and we
decided because of that and the fact she had no quality of life and could have to go through this over and over it
was the kindest thing to let her go we had exhausted all the treatments you could have to help. She went peacefully
and extremely quickly in my arms. We will miss this girl immensely as before her illness she was such a lively,
mischievous girl who constantly surprised us with her antics. We see her in her daughter and 2 grand daughters
every day and she will never be forgotten. RIP our beautiful girl.
NELSON
Nov 08 - Oct 15
Nelson passed away peacefully in his sleep. Our only consolation is he had not been ill had been his normal
happy, mischievous self before he passed.
He had not had the best of starts but the last five years he had been a much loved family member and enjoyed life
to the full.
He was a perfect stud dog and more importantly a faithful friend and companion
We will miss his antics and we will see him live on in his babies who will remind us what a beautiful boy he was
We feel robbed to have lost him so young but he will live on in our thoughts and memories.
KONA
Kona was the sweetest girl so affectionate and loving.
Unfortunately she ventured too close to the road and was hit on the verge by a vehicle.
Although she managed to get herself home she was too injured to save.
We were gutted to lose our characteristic little girl
ZIPPO
Feb 03 - Nov 15
Zippo was a much loved family member who constantly kept us on our toes with his naughtly antics.
He was always full of life and happy go lucky, a little man with a big attitude.
Zippo went ill very suddenly and passed away quickly and quietly.
He is missed by us all.
SHAMU
Oct 06 - Dec 15
What can I say about the loss of our beautiful miss posh paws Shamu.
She suffered pneumonia which unfortunately damaged her heart. She did very well on relevant medication for
six weeks but then they stopped working and she was feeling very poorly and not enjoying life anymore so we
had to make the devastating decision to let her go. She went peacefully and quickly at home surrounded by her
family.
We will forever miss our beautiful girl who filled our lives with so much love and affection right up till the end.
BUTTON
Button was our little Rotwieller in disguise. She had a big attitude in a little body, but was excellent with the
children and humans just a bit to big for her boots with the dogs.
She had suffered a stroke and seemed to get over that pretty well with few side effects but xmas eve she was
poorly and after investigation at the vets, it was discovered she had multiple tumours and was a very poorly old
girl so we had to make the decision to let her go as she would have been uncomfortable and in pain.
We will definitely miss her and her antics.
NEELA
May 08 - May 17
Unfortunately Neela was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. It was too far advanced to be operated on, so
we made her as comfortable and happy as possible until it started to impact on her quality of life.
Neela was the naugtiest dog I have ever had the pleasure of owning, right from the day she arrived up until the
end. She drove me nuts everyday and I think she enjoyed it, even at the end it was all on her terms she made sure
both the vets and us knew that she wanted it done her way.
I dont think I could ever have another girl who while driving me to distraction commanded so much love from us
and got it with ease.
Life is not the same with out our beautiful trouble maker and to say we miss her is a large understatement.
AURA
Aug 04 - May 17
I do not know where to start to describe what a beautiful girl Aura was. She was perfect in everyway. She had no
malice in her at all she got on with everything and everyone, she had adopted other girls puppies, been mommy
to kittens, lambs and any other orphan or needy babies.
She was a big girl with a big heart who loved to sleep any excuse and she would sleep, after being spayed she
slept for 4 days we had to wake her to go to toilet or to eat. But she also loved to play, she loved it down the
beach and in the sea and was an excellent shaparone for the youngsters and taught them a lot.
Aura suffered a stroke and although seemed not too bad afterwards within days other problems started from the
stroke and she was not her happy self her beautiful smiley face was not smiley anymore she was tired and in
pain so we had to let her go.
She went at home with us in mine and Johns arms very quickly and peacefully.
We were lucky to have her to a good age but it has not made the pain any easier it has also impacted on the
grandchildren as she was a perfect granny doggie sitter and they all loved aura.
We miss her more than we can express but know she is pain free and happy.
BUBBLES
1998 - 2017
Bubbles was our sweet affectionate lap cat who took a while to decide she liked it inside but then we could not get
her out.
Bubbles had a stroke and was very poorly we rushed her to the vet but there was nothing we could do for her.
We miss this fluff ball shes been a big part of our life for so long.
SQUEAK
1998 - 2017
Squeak just could not live without his sister and was not himself after she passed away. He dissapeared for a few
days and when he returned he was in a bad way, he had some nasty injuries and vet advised they were too serious
to be able to help him. So he joined his sister just 2 weeks after she passed. His little squeak is very much missed
by us here.
MORGAN
Mar 2004 - Aug 2017
It has taken me a long time to be able to add Morgan to the in memory page. Although we were privlaged to have had
Morgan to such a ripe old age it has been a hard goodbye.
She was not only our friend and companion, but our protector. She would have given her life and nearly did on one
occassion to make sure her family were ok.
There were many things about Morgan that made her stand out from other dogs and maybe we were biased but she was
one in a million and no other dog would ever be able to take her place.
She has trained our children and grand children to do her bidding and was always such a gentle soul with them all.
Although she had been deaf and blind for the last 6 months it did not stop, or hinder her at all. But other issues of old age
did take their toll.
We will always miss our girl time will never take away our memories
HARRI
Aug 2008 - May 2018
What can I say about Harri. When he came back to us at 3 years old he was aggressive, did not like people, dogs or
anything for that matter but most of all terrified of everything. After months of hard work, patience, and belief in Harri, we
eventually turned him into the beautiful boy he was for 7 years.
Unfortunately Harri was diagnosed with cancer since he would not allow invasive treatments this made it hard to help him
but we did what we could until it was affecting his way of life.
We were so lucky to get Harri back and enjoy 7 years with him. Saraya misses him terribly because she loved playing ball
with him.
Rip our lovely boy.
RANA
November 08 - September 19
We had known for a little while we were on borrowed time, but it never made the decision easier. She was our grumpy old
lady, sulked when we brushed her, tried her best to keep out of the way of the children apart from Jaxon who shared his
crisps with her. Did not tolerate any nonsense from the youngsters, loved the snow and burying herself in it. Most of all
she loved her cuddles. She went peacefully at home with me, john and Karissa. I can not express how much we miss her.
She’s left a huge hole in our lives and our house looks big without her
NYXA
January 13 - November 19
PABLO
January 18 - September 20
Sadly after repeated attempts at different diet and treatments Pablos tummy was just so badly damaged nothing was
helping. He unfortunately rapidly declined and was suffering internal bleeding it was decided the kindest thing was to put
him to sleep. He went quickly and quitely in Johns arms having cuddles, wagging his tail and kissing him.
Despite how he felt and how much pain he was in he was still giving his love.
We are extremely heartbroken that we failed to be able to help him and honoured we were able to share his life if only for a
short while. Also angry that the parasites were allowed to get as bad as they were when they arrived and nothing had been
done.
Run pain free our beautiful boy xxx
HORATIO
2011 - October 2020
Horatio became ill very suddenly in the evening, he was unable to walk had lost use of his back legs. He was taken to
the vets and he was diagnosed with a for of thrombosis which is caused from heart disease. The illness is not curable
they could put him on blood thinners and a drip to administer strong pain killers as its very painful but no guarantees it
would work.. If it did it would only give him up to 3 months longer life which would be painful and not very good quality.
So we said goodbye to our beautiful boy and his sexy purr, we miss him emensely and so do any of our regular
visitors as he always made himself known to anyone who visited.
May 08 - Nov 2020
We had to say goodbye to our beautiful big boy. He has been a big part of the whole family for 12.5 years. He was
protector and cuddle Munster to the grandchildren, Ifans police dog, Jaxons pillow, cuddle Munster to the big kids and
john. To me he was my doggie soul mate, he knew exactly how I was feeling all the time. He was my shadow and I
so miss not having him under my feet. He was just perfect not only at his job but just being him. He has left an
empty house and a huge hole in the family. he took a big chunk of me with him and no other dog could ever fill his
boots they have a legend to live up to. But we have so many lovely memories that will never be lost. There is not a
day goes by when I do not think about this beautiful boy and how lucky we were to have him.
Asim
When Nyxa had her litter two years ago because it knocked her about so much we decided to retire her. Normally I spay
my retired girls but on this occasion because it had taken time to get her back to full health and she did not react well
with anaesthetic, I made the decision not to. Nyxa became unwell with what the vet thought was a blockageWe left her
there with the plan they would keep her over night and hydrate her then xray in the morning.
We had been home about an hour when vet phoned. Her gut instinct had told her to check her again before she left for
home,
even with the fluids she had a real need for water so she scanned her. As she suspected she had pyometra.
She had not presented with any of the normal signs until then. By this time she had blood poisoning and was in
tremendous pain and was too ill to cope with surgery.
So we had to say goodbye to our beautiful, bouncy, black bear. I now have to live with the fact the decision I
made I felt right at the time but maybe it wasn’t. Our beautiful girl went from bright and bouncy to rainbow bridge in just 8
hours. This is why I spay, they do not have to have bred to get it the only
criteria is having a uterus. It is preventable.
Good night our beautiful black bear.
